The 1-2-1 Challenge 2010

Family-building activity weekends for one parent and one child.

Being a parent isn’t a 9-5 job. And most parents, if they’re honest, will admit that there are times when their family is squeezed out by the demands of work and life. Spending time with your children is one of the most important aspects of parenting.

Even though your children are important to you, making sure you spend time with them can be hard. So, to help parents spend some time one-to-one with their children and to help them build family bonds that last, Care for the Family runs The 1-2-1 Challenge.

“It has given my son a chance to spend time alone with me.”
Photo of a mother and daughter enjoying Take a BreakResearch shows that children want to spend more time with their parents. Put the theory to the test and join us on a 1-2-1 Challenge.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you’ll be involved in an outdoor activity programme – specially designed to help one parent plus one child to become one team. One great team.

We guarantee that you will be talking about it for a long time to come!

The 1-2-1 Challenge involves more than just the activities; it’s about:
  • Spending time together
  • Sharing new experiences
  • Building stronger bonds
  • Working and learning together
  • Encouraging one another
  • Taking time to talk and listen
  • Having fun
  • Becoming one great team
  • Building memories that last a lifetime

“From the moment you arrive there is a certain buzz of excitement and anticipation in the air, as all those attending know that they are there to have fun and do some crazy things.”
Please note:
The 1-2-1 Challenge weekends are planned by Care for the Family in partnership with Christian outdoor adventure organisations. Trained and qualified instructors will lead the activities and no previous experience is needed. The activities vary on the different challenge weekends and may be dependent on weather conditions.
