Welcome
We're a charity which wants to support you and your family in the good times, and the tough times, too - bringing you hope, compassion, help and encouragement.
Care for the Family has stimulated and challenged, and certainly enriched our lives.
Adoption from a dad's perspective
“If we can’t have our own children, do you think we should adopt?” “Of course sweetheart,” was my immediate reply. After all, we were young and about to get married. Exciting times lay ahead. It seemed like just another question amongst the many that you say “yes” to at that time: “Should we have white flowers on the tables? Should we ask my uncle Kevin to drive us to the reception?” And so on.
5 things I wish I knew before I became a dad
Becoming a dad for the first time is a bit like starting a new job. No matter how well prepared you are, you never quite know what to expect or how well you will cope, or how accurate the job description was. As you gear up for fatherhood, here are five things that I wish that I had known before my daughter arrived.
