Did you know: One in four children in the UK regularly eats their evening meals in the bedroom. Just one in five youngsters in Britain always eats at the table, compared with 40% in Spain, 42% in Germany and 61% in Italy.

We want to get families round the table, enjoying food and talking to each other – and by raising money at the same time they are not only helping their family but families in need too.

Could you Host a Roast for
Care for the Family?
We want to encourage families to get together with friends and neighbours, rediscover the joy of eating together and raise money for charity at the same time!
Here’s how it works:
You could organise a roast in your own home, a local community centre or church hall and invite people to turn up and give a donation to Care for the Family.
OR
Invite a friend for lunch who is on their own – and donate the cost of that meal to Care for the Family.
OR
If cooking’s not your thing why not organise a family meal in a restaurant and donate the cost of one meal to Care for the Family?
So let’s dust off the place mats and get the nation eating and having fun – all in a good cause.
- £20 can pay for a bereaved person to attend one of our hope giving day events.
- £50 can help subsidise a family building break for a single parent family.
We would love to hear from you. Please email Hostaroast@cff.org.uk
If you’re thinking of Hosting a Roast, then please let us know using the form below. We can then send you our hosting pack, which will hopefully help you to put on a fantastic meal!
