Care for the Family does not record any personally-identifying information about your visit.
We only collect and store those email addresses that have been submitted to us to make an order or receive email newsletters. The email addresses are sent directly to our office and stored on our database, which is not available to anyone outside Care for the Family. The newsletters will be used to inform you of updates to content on the site, preview content, or to notify you of forthcoming events. These email addresses may be added to contact information we already have.
COOKIES AND SESSIONS
We do not use cookies on this site to record personally-identifiable information. All information submitted to us is held temporarily, for the duration of your visit to the site or until that information is sent to us via encrypted email. As soon as you leave the site, the data will be held in session for 30 minutes or until all browser windows have been closed before it is purged. In the event of you returning to the site before that time, you will not have lost any details entered.
STATISTICS
Please note: we are currently testing services that help us to analyse the usage of our website so that we can see how useful our site is and where we can improve it. Some of these methods may involve the use of web beacons. You can read guidelines on the appropriate use of web beacons here. The current package we are using is Clicktracks. You can express any strong objection to the use of cookies by contacting us or by configuring your browser not to accept cookies. We would always recommend that you protect yourself from intrusive monitoring on the web. However, we hope you will see how we can benefit from being able to analyse accurately how people use our site. Only data such as IP address, length of time spent on a page, where you came from, and to which page you went are recorded about your visit.
ORDERING AND INFORMATION REQUESTS
Information submitted in order to process information requests or orders for products is handled by our host’s secure server technology and transmitted to us via encrypted email. When you enter the secure area, please be aware that the domain will change to “https://dn−dog−secure.com/carefort” - this is our host’s address. Your details are temporarily written to the server but deleted when your session ends. Any information collected is used by Care for the Family only. It is not shared with other organisations for commercial, or for any other purposes. If you do not want to receive emails from us in the future, please let us know by emailing us at mail@cff.org.uk and telling us that you do not want to receive emails from Care for the Family.
If you supply us with your postal address online, we will need to add you to our database system so we can process your order or enquiry. You can choose whether to receive our mailings or not. If you have chosen to receive our mailings, we will send you three magazines and two appeals a year, as well as notifying you of any events we are holding in your area or details of special promotions. If you do not wish to receive some, or any, of these mailings, please use the email address above to let us know and we will block your address from being mailed.
If you supply us with your telephone number online, we may ring you to ask how we can serve you better, or if there is an immediate problem with the request you sent us.
