Take a Break 2010
Take a Break is an opportunity for you and your family to experience excitement, fun and challenges, all in a supportive environment.
Good news! Same price as last year
As a single parent you may find it stressful to even consider taking a break. Or perhaps you’ve imagined what it would be like to have some time away from your usual routine – where you don’t have to plan or cook every meal, or keep the kids occupied all day.
We have a break specially designed with you in mind.
We know that parenting alone can be tough – but you’re not alone. On Take a Break you’ll meet other single parents and their families, and supportive staff members who will take care of you as a family. You’ll experience new, exciting activities and enjoy being able to relax – with someone else preparing dinner and worrying about what to do next!

Accommodation
You will stay in a variety of family or shared rooms, or cabins, as appropriate to the age and sex of your family members.
Tasks
You may be asked to help with occasional tasks; this is usually part of the fun.
Useful information
Take a Break adventures are planned by Care for the Family in partnership with Christian outdoor activity centres. Trained and qualified instructors lead the activities. No previous experience is needed.
Each Take a Break includes a ‘Thought for the day’, which is Christian-based – attendance is optional.
