Take a Break 2009
Take a Break is an opportunity for you and your family to experience excitement, fun and challenges, all in a supportive environment.

If you’re a single parent you may find it stressful just thinking about taking a break. Maybe you imagine the perfect break – where you don’t have to keep the kids occupied every five minutes; you don’t have to cook each and every meal; and you won’t find yourself sitting lonely on the beach.
Well, relaxing on that perfect break is now possible.
Being a single parent can be tough – but you’re not alone. On a Take a Break week, you’ll meet other single parents, supportive staff will take care of you as a family and you’ll have fun joining in with adventurous activities.
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in a variety of family or shared rooms, dormitories or cabins as appropriate to the age and sex of your family members.
Tasks
You may be asked to help with occasional tasks to keep the break running smoothly. This is usually part of the fun and will not be very time consuming.
Useful information
These breaks are planned by Care for the Family in partnership with Christian outdoor activity centres. Trained and qualified instructors will lead the activities and no previous experience is needed.
Each Take a Break will include ‘Thoughts for the Day’ which are Christian based - attendance is optional.
