Welcome to Widowed Young Support
Supporting men and women living with loss after the death of a partner whilst still young.
Care for the Family's 'Widowed Young Support' initiative offers hope and support to those who have lost a partner at a young age. We hope you will find information about what kind of help and support we provide, whether it's for you or for your family and friends.
Widowed Young Support is co-ordinated by Steve and Paula Smart, who were both widowed early in life. Everyone on our team knows personally what it feels like to lose their spouse our partner*. We understand how everyone responds differently to the death of a partner and how the emotional, physical and spiritual impact runs very deep.
"I don't feel alone anymore and it's made me feel there is hope that things can be good again."
The good news is that you should never feel you have to try and cope on your own. Through our Widowed Young Support, we can help to open the way ahead helping you through the ups and downs and sharing fresh hope and possibilities for the future.
We offer support in four main ways:
- Telephone befriending
- Widowed young support events
- Email newsletters - offering support and encouragement through articles and real-life stories
- Resources and articles
Widowed Young Support is here to walk alongside you and help you journey towards hope and rebuilding- you can call us on 029 2081 0800 or email us at mail@cff.org.uk
* Widowed Young Support is available to those who have lost a partner up to and including the age of 50 - or older if you still have dependant children.
