Bereavement Care Awareness – information for churches

What is it?

Bereavement Care Awareness training is designed to help and equip churches to provide effective support for those in their community suffering the pain and heartache of a close bereavement in the weeks and months after the funeral.

Who is it for?

Anyone who has a heart for supporting bereaved people, but in particular, church leaders and pastoral care team workers.

How does it work?

The training is facilitated by one of Care for the Family’s trained volunteers. We are currently running the training online, via Zoom.

How many people can attend?

ONLINE – We would like there to be a minimum of 20 people training online. This can be from your own church to train as one group, or you can join our open training and meet people from across the UK and IOM. Contact us for more details on this.

How much does it cost?

The online training costs £10 per person attending.

What else do I need to know?

If you’re interested in the possibility of being a host church email or phone us (029 2081 0800) and we’ll put you in contact with a facilitator who will give you further information. In particular we are able to help you with all the practical issues around organising the training, including the provision of publicity material.
