These sessions help couples to prepare to make a lifelong commitment to one another through marriage.
The four core sessions cover the following:
- Embark – planning our future together
- Engage – choosing to communicate well
- Exchange – handling conflict positively
- Endeavour – sticking together, come what may
This resource includes an additional bolt-on session on the subject of remarriage.

Each of these sessions includes presenter-led content, expert input, couple interviews and discussion questions.
The Pre-Marriage Sessions is accessible to people from every walk of life and can be run with couples of all faiths and none. The video content doesn’t include any overtly Christian content. Some couples may have a Christian faith and may want faith-based questions to guide their conversations. These can be found in the couple handbook with Christian content.
