Great opportunities for men to do something together!

Someone once said, ‘Women often grieve face to face, whereas men do it shoulder to shoulder.’ Men aren’t always that good at just talking – we prefer to do something!

Some of our Bereaved Parent Support Befrienders just love to organise walks for bereaved men – we affectionately call them ‘Harry’s Hikes’ in loving memory of Harry, one of our befrienders who sadly died in 2018 (he loved walking).

We know that there are a lot of guys who enjoy walking. These walks are a great opportunity for those who have experienced untimely bereavement to spend time with other men who truly understand the heartache of losing a son or daughter, or a partner early in life.

Take a look at our map for the dates and locations of our upcoming walks. For more details about the location, terrain or meeting times for a specific walk, please email Dave Park, our Bereaved Parent Support Coordinator, with your contact details. He will pass your details to the guys who are organising it, and they will contact you directly with more information.

Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest information.

In loving memory of Harry, one of our Bereaved Parent Support Befrienders, who loved walking.
