Find out about our special day and weekend events for those who have been widowed young or who have lost a son or daughter.

Many people who have experienced the untimely death of their partner or the death of a child have found it really helps to get away and meet with others who are on a similar journey.

For some this might be within months of their bereavement, while for others it may be years later. They can find it immensely comforting to go somewhere to reflect and spend time with others who understand the depth of grief and pain that loss can bring. That’s why we run Widowed Young Support and Bereaved Parent Support days and weekends throughout the year in various parts of the UK. These events are usually set in fully-catered, peaceful surroundings, with plenty of space and time to concentrate on rebuilding lives and facing the future with hope.

This event was an oasis of support at a time of journeying a desolate period of my life.

All our team members have themselves been widowed young or experienced the death of a child. Over the course of the day or weekend they will be open about their personal experiences of loss, share practical suggestions for coping with life after a bereavement, and provide space for people to share and be listened to. Our aim is to help delegates to feel understood and to discover new hope and resilience for the future.
