Train to run our specialist course to support and encourage parents and carers of children with additional needs
The Children with Additional Needs course aims to help parents build their own confidence and also their child’s self-esteem. With an understanding that each child develops individually, we look at ways parents can meet their child’s needs and how to set and maintain boundaries. We also explore how to work well with schools and other professionals, and how the wider family plays a part. The course is aimed at children aged 3 to 11 years and also includes add-on sessions for parents of children with ADHD and on the autism spectrum.
'The trainers were very knowledgeable on the topics discussed, and explained all the materials clearly. The activities planned were well thought through and I liked the creativity of splitting everyone into groups.'
