Train to run our specialist course to support and encourage parents and carers of a special needs child
The Children with Special Needs course aims to help parents build their child’s self-esteem and develop good communication skills. With an understanding that each child develops individually, we look at ways to meet the needs of their child and how to set and maintain boundaries. We also explore what schools and other agencies can offer children with special needs and their parents, and how the wider family plays a part. The course also includes add-on sessions for parents of children with ASD and ADHD.
The Time Out for Parents: Children with Special Needs training will take you through the materials and activities of the seven supportive and informal main sessions. This training is only available to our core licenced facilitators. To become a licenced facilitator, you will need to attend our Time Out for Parents Facilitator training. Once you gain a core facilitator licence you can book on to this training.
