Our online facilitator training is a combination of online learning, on our Care for the Family Learning Hub, and live group sessions with our trainers on Zoom.

To gain a licence to be able to run our core range of Time Out for Parents courses, you need to complete both Part One and Part Two training in full.

For the best training experience, we strongly recommend that you access the live sessions via a PC or laptop. Please note that it is not possible to undertake day two of the Part One training using a mobile device.

You will receive ongoing support through dedicated web pages, e-newsletters, a group Facebook page and by phone and email with our Community Training team.

Read our online training terms and conditions.

Care for the Family’s primary purpose is to strengthen family life in the UK. While this training is available online, unfortunately, on this occasion, we are unable to take bookings from anyone who is residing outside the UK. For more details please click here.

More information

If you would like your team to attend our facilitator training as a group, please contact us to discuss online and face-to-face in-house training options.

In addition to our core courses we also have a specialist course, Children with Additional Needs, which contains additional sessions on both ASD and ADHD. To run this specialist parenting course you will need to gain a core facilitator licence as detailed above and following this, attend an additional familiarisation day. Find out more information here.

If you have completed appropriate prior training with a recognised provider, and have facilitated courses, it may not be necessary for you to attend both parts of our training events to receive a licence to facilitate our core Time Out for Parents courses. Your training would have to be at a minimum of Level 3 and cover the essential topics in this course. Find out more about Approved Prior Learning.
