In six sessions, Parentalk – The Teenage Years explores the following topics:
- Understanding your teenager
- Staying connected
- Communication and conflict
- Big pressures … good choices
- Letting go
The sessions are presented by Rob Parsons and Katharine Hill. They are joined by special guests, including broadcaster Carrie Grant, educational psychologist Dave Lumsdon and youth specialist Rachel Gardner. The DVD features presenter introduction and conclusions, Real-life family interviews, street vox-pops, ‘My Story’ animations and presenter discussions.
The course is DVD-based and can be used in a ‘plug-and-play’ format. It comes with a Group Leader’s Guide and ten copies of the Parent Notes which gives people everything they will need to run a complete course.

For version 03 please register your course here to access the updated booklet with revised questions for discussion time, and even more resources. No other content has changed for Parentalk – The Teenage Years. Version 02 is still a functioning booklet that will be acceptable for group sessions.
